Babe Ruth Signed Autographed Baseball New York Yankees The Bambino Red Sox. Offered is a circa 1935 "Taylor Official League" baseball signed by Babe Ruth on both the sweet spot and a side panel. Ruth's signature, which has been beautifully scripted in black fountain, grading "8/9, " sits upon the sweet spot.

On a side panel, to the left of the signature, Ruth has added the inscription To Frank Phelps/From. This is one of the very few times we have seen Ruth sign a ball in this manner, as he normally includes his signature on the same side panel as the inscription. The bonus for collectors, of course, in this case, is that the ball can be displayed without the original recipient's name being seen if so desired. The ball, which has been coated with a very light layer of protective shellac, displays light toning, a few tiny abrasions, and a few areas of light, scattered discoloration.
